Liposuction/ Liposculpture

Liposuction, fat suction or suction lipectomy involves removing unwanted fat deposits from the superficial areas of the body, including the chin, neck and cheeks; Upper arms and upper breasts; Abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. Liposuction is intended to correct those regions of the body in which persistent accumulated fat persists to diet and exercise.

The technique consists essentially in suctioning the fat by introducing a small hollow rod called a cannula that is connected to a vacuum machine or a special syringe, depending on the case, and making numerous tunnels in the previously marked area. Once the operation is performed, a compression bandage or elastic garment will be used depending on the area being treated. It is normal for cardinals and inflammation of the tissues to appear in the aspirated area.
