Scars, no matter what their cause, accidents or surgery, are unpredictable. The way a scar evolves depends on how much your body heals as well as the original wound or the surgeon's ability.
Many variables can affect the severity of scarring, including wound size and depth, blood supply to the area, thickness and color of the skin, and the direction of the scar.
